There are major issues happening in New Zealand that all New Zealanders should be concerned about.
The Therapeutic Products Bill
The Therapeutic Products Bill proposes to regulate natural health products that are already known to be extremely safe. Food items could also be included in these regulations as there are many claims to their healing properties. Our access to these products could become very difficult because of cost and availability. Go to NZ Rising's Therapeutic Products Bill post to find out more about this issue and to learn how to voice your objection.
Needs to be done by the 15th of February 2023.
Fluoride Free New Zealand is an organisation set up to protect New Zealanders from the harmful effects of fluoridated water. They believe fluoridation does not reduce dental decay, is unsafe (particularly that it lowers children's IQ) and that it violates our fundamental right to consent to medical treatments.
Groundswell NZ is seeking a halt to, and rewrite of, unworkable regulations which unfairly impact farmers and rural communities.
"With national support our movement has grown into a strong advocacy voice for rural communities, seeking solutions to environmental issues which are effective and tailored to regional differences."
Three Waters, Zero Gain opposes the Government's plan to take the three waters (drinking, drainage and sewage) responsibilities and ownership away from local councils. The plan is to put them into a centralised organisation controlled by the Government.
Marsden Point was New Zealand's only oil refinery. However, the Government has closed this, forcing oil to be brought into the country already refined.
The Dig In at Marsden Point is a group of people trying to stop the destruction of the refinery so that it can be switched back on in the future..
